Media value

Media value, also referred to as earned media value, means the estimated worth of media exposure, calculated by the cost equivalent if it had been paid for as advertising. It’s used to measure the impact and reach of media coverage, and often includes earned media like PR and organic mentions. Media value aims to give a financial perspective on visibility generated through non-paid means.
Shield provides you an earned media value estimation based on your organic impressions. The estimation updates in real time right on your Shield dashboard, as your organic impressions go up. Earned media value on Shield is often used to report back to leadership or other key stakeholders, showing the worth of organic initiatives on LinkedIn in a language such stakeholders can relate to (i.e. money language, dollar signs).
